Joshua (Josh) D. Newman is a vice president in the Client Computing Group (CCG) and the general manager of Product Management and Marketing at Intel Corporation. He creates value for Intel customers and shareholders by informing and then translating the magic of Intel engineering and manufacturing into customer relatable and desirable product value propositions across all Intel client processor product lines.

Newman interned at Intel beginning in 1992, then joined the company in a fulltime capacity in 1994 as an engineer in the End User Components Division. He contributed to the design of several generations of the Pentium® processor family products. Since then, he has held numerous technical and leadership positions throughout the company, including platform applications engineering manager in the PC Chipset Group leading the design and development of reference motherboards and design collateral; engineering director in the Wireless Network Group responsible for design and validation of Wi-Fi products designed for Intel® Centrino® platform; and marketing director in the Mobile Platform Group and Mobile Communications Group in charge of driving the company’s product portfolio across market segments. Most recently, Newman created Project Athena and the Intel® Evo™ platform – a user-centered approach to inspire the PC industry to bring about next generation laptop experiences.

Newman received his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Michigan and earned his MBA from the University of California Davis in 2000.
